Every business in the country has an accountant and those accountants are on our database. The vast majority of those that could have potential clients either way are on direct email with us. Should you have a client that wishes to buy or sell you simply tell us with a brief description of the requirement. We will then code the business and yourself and send it out to other appropriate accountancy practices either by size of practice, region or the entire database. Any replies received would then be passed direct to you. This will be the name and telephone number of another accountant in the vast majority of cases.

This simple and effective facility is available to your practice today. For further information please email and you can either look at a subscription membership, which allows you to place as many adverts as you wish or a single advert. All adverts are reviewed every two weeks to examine any changes that are necessary to improve any response level or to leave it as it is if sufficient interest has been received.

If you as an accountant require additional support in respect of the purchase or sale of your clients businesses then we have a team in place capable of doing everything from the information memorandum all the way through to heads of agreements and completion by a solicitor of your choice. We can advise on the whole range and will help you as much or as little as you need. Any fees charged separately for this service by Goldsmith’s Businesses for Sale and Wanted Service, would be shared with you on an agreed basis from time to time dependent upon the level of service you require.

Is there a subscription to join?

We do charge a monthly subscription to become a member of GBS, however you can place as many adverts as you wish. It’s up to you what you charge your client as all success fees are yours.

Who sees the adverts?

We will send your adverts out nationwide, via email, fortnightly to our list of GBS receivers who are all quality accountancy practices.

Do you have additional support services for corporate finance?

Yes. Everything from helping you prepare an information memorandum through to taking on the case in its entirety and helping you all the way through to completion.

If I go for the full service, are there any fees in it for me?

Yes. Any work of course that you do for your client would probably be charged on an hourly basis as usual. However we would also include a portion of the fee that we would charge for the benefit of your practice. This to be agreed on a case by case basis.

What do I need to do to join?

Once you have returned the signed joining papers all we will require is a short description (50-100 words) of the businesses for sale or wanted.
